In the evening go for dinner with this new couple..she is sarah a doctor and he is is into suture… he is from east Germany, born and brought up in the eastern part and he talks of the everyday life in eastern Europe… of how eastern Germany is portrayed as a life of no hope, but that was not what it was. The dismay of consumerism, the plenty… and how easterns were soon to be reporting to west germans…… often junior to them.
Not sure if I got all this discussion straight so all these notes are mine and mine alone… they take me to the memorial for the holocaust victims… series of black boxes stones …. walking in them is dark and a feeling of being overwhelmed byt the oppressive darm squares…..
