Vadodra to Champaneer

Museums are not happening for us…so we do a quick google search, around baroda and discover, literally discover since had no idea it existed, a Unesco world heritage site… so we drive out there. And it’s a ruins delight!!!!

Theres a temple up the hill with a cable car…perfect for us lazy guys. We go up with amazing sites of people walking all the way up. And always a monkey …looking down on us!!!

About Champaneer:

• Champaneer is a historical city in the state of Gujarat, in western India. It is located in Panchmahal district.
• Sultan Begada also built a magnificent Jama Masjid in Champaner, which ranks amongst the finest architectural edifices in Gujarat.
• It is an imposing structure on a high plinth, with a central dome, two minarets 30 meters in height, 172 pillars, seven mihrabs, and carved entrance gates with fine latticed windows called “jalis”
